President and Founder

Bio

I am a dedicated family medicine physician based in Lakeland, Florida, where I
have recently returned after completing my residency in Montgomery, Alabama.

My journey into medicine is both unique and deeply personal. Before pursuing a
career in medicine, I spent over 20 years practicing pharmacy, an experience that
provided me with a strong foundation in patient care and an enduring
commitment to healthcare.

Having benefited from programs designed to increase diversity, equity, and
inclusion, I understand firsthand the profound impact these initiatives can have.
My own experiences as an underrepresented provider have inspired me to give
back to my community in a meaningful way.

My approach

I am currently in the process of establishing a medical academy specifically
aimed at underrepresented students in my community. This academy is driven by
my passion to inspire and guide the next generation of healthcare professionals,
offering them the exposure and opportunities they need to consider and pursue
careers in medicine.

Through this initiative, I hope to contribute to broader efforts across the country
aimed at increasing diversity in the medical field and addressing healthcare
disparities. My goal is to create a program that not only supports the
development of future healthcare providers but also enhances patient care and
equity at every level.

By collaborating with community members and organizations, I am committed to
making a significant and positive impact on healthcare diversity and inclusion.
